Our house is available to rent 365 days of the year for your short stay/holiday but is not a long term rental. Our beach house is a child friendly home. It has filtered tank water so you can drink the water from the tap. The house is situated a short 6 minute walk from the beach and close to the Four Square, cafe, gift shop, galleries, bowling club and two playgrounds. The house is fully fenced with a large section for the kids to play on, along with a deck and outdoor furniture. It has an ensuite and a bathroom, heat pump, wood burner and a DVS. There are 4 bedrooms which can accommodate up to 8 people. There is a TV with Freeview. Great large family beach house with a large covered deck. Furnished as a home away from home: fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine. Kitchen fitted out completely to accommodate home cooking if you wish. Flat sunny front section in a quiet cul de sac. Section and house maintain all day sun. Contact us for booking availablity.

Payment and Cancellations

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and full payment must be made within 3 days of check-in..

You can cancel your booking for free up to 1 week prior to check-in, however if a cancellation is made within 7 days of check-in, you'll lose 100% of the monies paid.

A booking service charge of $50 applies to all cancellations.

We would be happy to negotiate an alternative booking date as we know the unforeseen does happen - just talk to us   ;)



Check In/Check Out

Check in time is normally anytime after 3.00pm and check out time is normally by 11.00am.  However these times are flexible so talk to us if you would like  different times.

Nearby Activities

Fishing

Surfcasting and using a kontiki are the 2 main types of fishing from the beach. Boats can be launched from the beach although most people use a tractor.

Swimming

During the summer months the Waitarere beach Surf Life Saving group of volunteers set up just south of the main entrance

Beach and Forest Walks

Take a walk along the beach or through the north and south forests. Walk to the wreck of the Hydrabad. Six minute walk to the beach from our holiday home.

Surfing

Not one of NZ's best surf breaks, but catch a wave when the conditions are right.

Land Yachting

With the tide out and the wind coming from a westerly/nor westerly direction this makes ideal land yachting conditions.

Tennis/Playground

Tennis courts and a childrens playground are situated in the Domain. Another play area is at Holmwood Park
